About Me

Jay Paul Deratany, founder of The Deratany Firm in Chicago, Illinois, has dedicated his law career to fighting malpractice and negligence. He has argued cases ranging from medical misdiagnosis to wrongful death of a child and is an especially dedicated advocate for the rights of children in foster care, having secured several multimillion-dollar verdicts for negligent placement.
